Associate HR Consultant
Following a career as a line-manager in the leisure sector, Peter became a mature-student and graduated with an honours degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Plymouth in 1996. As an additional part of his studies, Peter successfully completed post-graduate classes including MBA Organisational Strategy and Policy and MA Human Resources Strategy. These classes were undertaken in the United States.
Peter’s HR career has included wide-ranging experience of the public (NHS & foreign government), not-for-profit (housing) and private (Recruitment, Hotels, PR & Marketing) sectors. Recently, Peter was responsible for leading a large HR team as Head of Human Resources & Employee Development for Southern Housing Group, one of the largest Housing Associations in the South East of England. Peter’s long-term consultancy work includes providing UK & Continental Europe HR support with Tourism Australia, a statutory arm of the Australian Government based at the Australian High Commission in London.
Peter possesses extensive experience in the creation and implementation of strategic HR initiatives as well as a thorough understanding of operational and employee relations issues. He believes that his background as a line-manager, combined with his pragmatic and constructive approach, assists him in delivering innovative and workable solutions in challenging situations.
