Change Management

Much of what managers at all levels do is about taking people through constant change: new service and product models, restructuring and redundancies, mergers, new ways of working, a change of office premises -  the list is endless.

It’s a well understood fact that where change fails, as it frequently does, it’s because of a lack of thinking through on the people aspects of change.  If you can’t take people with you, the change is doomed to fail.

This highly participative one-day workshop will support managers to develop a more proactive and planned approach to managing change in a way that will take the workforce with you.

Learning objectives

The one-day Change Management workshop aims to develop manager skills and knowledge in change management tools and techniques.

By the end of the workshop delegates will:

• Be introduced to practical tools for identifying strategic goals and project managing change.
• Understand the core components of employee engagement and what needs to be done to maintain these during periods of change.
• Identify the core competences/capabilities needed at all levels of the organisation to achieve the desired change.
• Appreciate the importance of culture in change management and be able to analyse those aspects of your organisational culture that can be levered for effective change.
• Develop awareness of required leadership behaviours to inspire people behind change.
• Identify barriers to change and ways to overcome these.
• Develop an effective communication strategy as part of the change management process.
