Team Building

Managing individuals is one skill that we all need as managers but, with organisations invariably depending on the strength of their teams and departments, managing teams and team building is another extremely valuable skill.

Whether your challenge is around harnessing and directing the potential of a high performing creative team or dealing with the fall out from a disengaged and dysfunctional team the Real People Team Building training course will help you to get the best from your team and the people within it.

Learning objectives

Team building is about more than how quickly your team can build a raft or how many ‘plants’, ‘completer finishers’ or INTJ’s you have. Managing the dynamics of relationships within teams, proactively addressing conflict before it becomes toxic and measuring and rewarding team performance can take an increased level of confidence, more controlled and tactical delegation and work allocation and a stronger leadership style.

On the Real People Team Building training course delegates will learn to:

  • Identify whether they are managing a group of individuals or a true team and the impact of this conclusion on how they are managed
  • Identify different types of teams, when to use them and how to maximise their performance, capability and engagement
  • Build the type of team you need and recognise when team working is not appropriate
  • Motivate teams while managing the expectations, potential and aspirations of individual team members.
  • Identify and proactively manage the challenges and potential problems facing teams
  • Manage team conflict and dysfunctional teams
