Karen Austin

karenKaren has been with Broadway’s Real People for a total of 4 years.  She was the Account Manager for our work on the CLG funded National Beyond a Helpline programme, working in partnership with around 35 homelessness charities across the nation to raise standards in HR, people management and front line services across the sector.

Karen now works with our wide range of private sector, charity and social enterprise customers to provide them with day to day helpline advice, strategic project work and consultancy support and training.

With a First Class Honours degree in Business and HR Management, Karen has broad experience in applying practical, engaging and business focused people solutions in each of her generalist HR and Learning and Development focused roles.

After 10 years working in both the public and charitable sector and in private sector for media, insurance and sales based organisations, Karen has returned to Broadway and relishes the challenges that working across all sectors at the same time brings.

Karen is focused on driving forward Broadway’s Real People’s aim to support and empower organisations to get optimum results for and from their staff, customers and clients.  And as part of her continued commitment to sharing best practice and inspiring managers she facilitates an 'HR Expert' session on the Leading Places of Change course for the Chartered Institute of Housing and delivers our nationwide open management development programme.

Karen is a Member of the CIPD (Chartered MCIPD).
